Default rear disc conversion.. what prop valve

i have a dx coupe and im getting ready to do an si rear disc conversion, ive already grabbed the entire trailing arms with lca's and compensator arms with all bushings and of course the disc assembly plus e brake cables. i also have an integra master cylinder and brake booster. ive been getting mixed answers from the internet about which prop valve to use and i looked up the part numbers on acura oem and the dc integras non abs vs. abs proportioning valve seem entirely different... could i use one from a DA integra?

thats true^, but if he has a 96-00 dx he doesnt need to change the prop valve, they are the same as 99-00 si.

Use a prop valve from the same type of car you got the discs from. If your car is abs, use one from an ex.

If you have a '92 - '95 with small front brakes and want to use rear discs use a '92 - '93 Si prop valve (stamped 3040)

I would presume different sized orifices are the only difference between all these different prop valves. If the 3040 came on the car, keep it.

The 3040 comes on a bunch of other 92-95 Civics, not just the Si .... easy to find if you know what you're looking for.

Interesting that you just listed the 92-93 ... did 94-95 (non-ABS) have a different one?

Hmm, after doing some research it would seem that you are in fact correct.

Again, after some research it turns out they are the same, weird when you consider that the front brakes on the '94 - '95 models were larger EX style brakes.

Below is a list of what i've found, i've bolded the 3040 prop valves, the others in the list are all 3030.

ok well then if i just upgrade to gsr fronts the 40/40 would be the correct prop valve right cause i am in process of doin all my tech research on what diff honda/acura brake parts performance is in diff combo's since i work at in a race shop i can test diff parts

looks like so far a 1" master/booster, Gsr fronts, Ls rear is best setup for a DD using stock parts but have a couple other parts to test psi they can put out
