hey guys i just bought intake manifold off my guy its super huge i guess they call it the mailbox cause of the width and the lenght i was wondering how much hp will make and whats the value on this manifold? he sold it to me for 20 buck but im thinking about just slapping it on my all motor b16 im kind of wondering what numbers will show up with this on, but my biggest concernt is blowing up my motor lol

 

I would certainly clean the inside first. Looks like a tab of metal sitting up on the last picture.
Not exactly sure how you would blow your motor up by installing an intake manifold???

 

judging by the size of the plenum I would say its probably intended for a boosted setup.

yeah 20 bucks is not bad i just want to know the price of what this custommanifolds are worth i tried to google sum and they retail over 800 but correct me if im wrong will post more pics up once i get home im in the process of polishing the manifold looks ugly white

 

It's worth whatever you can get for it.

I'd just run it and see how it does. Do you have anything for comparison?
An intake manifold is not going to blow up your motor by itself, just make sure it seals to the head and the welds don't leak.

Run it, make some big numbers, and it will be worth more

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks to me like you either have a old Venom intake manifold or a obx r unit, but for 20 bucks it's a steal none the less.

 

venom dosnt have velocity stakes like these in their manifolds, they are alot shorter

i think you could get between 175-325 for that manifold once you get it polished up, id try to clean up inside it with some brake cleaner give it a good spray and take out any imperfections.

If you have a turbo car id say it would make some whp, but N/a it would lose power on a small 1.6 b16. Good find for sure

 

I have never seen an iacv flange like that before. They just dug out a trench to suck unfiltered air from the atmosphere.
