Vacuum leak? Are you sure the TB gasket seated all the way? Maybe the TPS is bad on it also. Just because it's new, doesn't mean it can't be broken. Get a volt meter and check the Helms for the proper procedure on checking the TPS.

IACV cleaned? If yes follow these steps:
disconnect IACV
set your idle to 550RPM (on warmed up engine)
reconnect IACV
reset ECU
start the engine and let it work for a while to stabilize idle

After that everything should be fine.

Did you use the gasket that came with it or did you use a stock gasket? Sounds like you got a small leak somewhere.

Nope, if there is no leak this procedure should work. You have to disconnect IACV to set up your idle mechanically (you have to switch off radio, a/c and so on), then you can connect IACV to teach ECU how much air must be added through IACV to the intake when switching on e.g. A/C to prevent engine from dying.

Would that procedure work if my idle acts up when I turn on my A/C. My car idle perfect but when I turn my a/c on it randomly spikes then stabilizes. I plan on tuning my ECU soon could tuning it in a certain way fix my idling issue?

At first you didn't answer if IACV is cleaned.

Was the engine warmed up? Did you adjust idle? CEL shows that you disconnected IACV, don't worry about this.
You should reconnect IACV after switching off the engins but before ECU reset.

If you still have the problem then most probably you have a leak somwhere.

If everything works properly (IACV, no leaks) lowering IACV compensation should help...

Once car is warmed up, turn of ac and all electrical stuff. Then unplug IACV. Your idle should drop and be pretty steady.... adjust idle speed with the idle speed screw (NOT by adjusting tension on the throttle cable. It should have a small amount of slack). Idle should be about 550 or so.

Plus IACV back in and idle should be steady at 850-900 or so. If the idle was steady, but not moves around too much, then the IACV needs to be cleaned as it is sticking.

I have never had to unplug the battery (4th Gen). The engine light resets for me when the car is turned off.

Oh - if idle is moving around a bunch with the IACV unplugged, then either the cold air valve is loose/leaking or you have a vacuum leak. The CAV is the most likely as a vacuum leak usually just makes the engine idle too fast and you can't seem to slow it down enough, but doesn't normally hunt around. The CAV has a thermal wax plug in it that vibrates if it is loose and causes all sorts of idle problems.

There is no idle screw in Omni Power TB, you have to use the screw blocking butterfly plate below the cable mount.

iacv is clean as a whistle.

and why would that needed lowering
