1996 Honda Accord 170,000 miles
My air conditioning is not working. I have no pressure in my low recharge port. As far as I can tell, my fans are not blowing, neither cooling or radiator. Both the 15amp relay in engine and 7.5amp fuse interior are in good standing.
So basically neither the fans nor the condensor are engaging when I turn the ac on in the vehicle.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why its not working?
I will respond quickly to any further questions. Thank you.

Low refrigerant pressure, if you jump the plug at the low side pressure switch your fans and clutch will most likely cut on. Which means ultimately you probably have a leak somewhere. Could be a slow leak.

what do you mean jump the plug at the low side?
If my refrigerant is low, and I cant get the condensor to turn on, how will I add refrigerant to keep the system on?
Once I can get it running I will purchase one of those rebuild kits that come with all new o-rings and gaskets. Hopefully it is not a hose somewhere.

you attach the hose to the L side, turn on your AC full blast & cold... open the valve from the can and listen/hear the R134A freon going into the system
after it is pressurized to the point that your compressor kicks on & both of your electric fans go on, you have successfully filled the system
so if you have a leak, this won't last long

I have recharged a/c systems before. However, this with this accord, neither the compressor or cooling fan will come on. So how will the system will with freon if nothing is sucking the 134 out of the can? I had a brand new can on there for about 10 minutes the other day. Is there a way to jump the compressor so i can get it pumping 134 again?
i agree with bird... that's how i did it as well... more than one time on other manufacturers too
since you're completely empty, it'll take that first can and then some to finally see some results

rent a vacuum pump first and make sure your ac sys. is holding a vacuum. if it does not hold a vacuum then look/listen for leaks, replace offending parts.
no matter what you do... purge the fill hose between the recharge can and the ac low pressure coupling side to ensure that no moisture or atmosphere get into your system and ruin your hard work.

I have recently tried to recharge the A/C on my 95 accord with a can of 134a Arctic Freeze. The low end valve does not seem to be accepting the freon.. Any suggestions? The gauge on the can shows no pressure being added slowly. it just jumps up to the full mark as if nothing went into the system... HELP!
lol@ charging with cans! To do the job correctly you need an A/C machine to evacuate the system. Then the machine will draw vacuum. If it holds vacuum for an hour or two you dont have any leaks. Then look at ur a/c sticker on the rad support and charge with the proper amount of refrigerant.
If you take the cap off of the LO service port and carefully push the schrader valve with a screwdriver, does freon leak out of the port?
Maybe your Can hose adaptor is not pushing the schrader valve in the LO service port, maybe the car is full and the System has 100 PSI, the same as the Can, depends on ambient temperature. Is the Can top punctured to allow gas to escape?
You would next hotwire to compressor to make it work, then troubleshoot further once you know there is some freon in the system, one can is enough. Are you sure there isnt already too much in the system, because an overcharge will kill the compressor if you keep putting more gas in, beware. There are several issues that will keep the compressor from turning on.
Do above and we can all move on from here.

ok so I know this is an old post. but I would Like to have to help with the same car. Like on this post I have a 1996 Honda accord. but the A/C doesn't work. from what I have checked and looked at. the condenser fans aren't engaging and its the same with the compressor I checked the voltage on the fuse but it showed no current for the a'c clutch fuse but the switch lights up. so I don't know if its a relay. a bad pressure switch. and we tried to recharge the lines but had no success. So can anyone please help me with this problem. I have read through as much forums and online post as I can but I still haven't found the problem.
when you say tried to recharge what does that mean ? if it really won't take the refrigerant then there is probably a problem with the valve..u will need to pick up a set of valves and have a place evacuate the system, add the valves, then recharge it
