compressor Surge where to hook BOV?
Trending Topics
Whoa! You got me confused a bit? BOV is a blow off valve and it attaches to a flange that's welded to my intercooler piping. It goes between the throttle body and the intercooler usually. I don't believe there are any rubber hoses or vaccuum lines going to it but I'd have to check because mine is tucked down in the wheel well or somewhere I can't see it very easily.
It doesn't need a vaccuum assist or anything. When you let off and the throttle plate closes while boosting the excess pressure exits the BOV.
What makes you think the compressor is surging?

The line in the pic that heads below is probably going to the wastegate not the BOV. Or to to a boost controller. Usually when you see a tee like that it's for a boost controller or going to a solonoid and then maybe to the wastegate.
I pretty sure you don't run any lines to a BOV.

i was told a BOV only works wit a vac source well from what i read on 8th civic and what the guys told me there...im recirc'd also...but there a nipple on the greddy RS bov that u gotta run a hose to a vac source...but my BOV is on the charge pipe.

Placement seems fine, its on a charge pipe. A line needs to be run from the valve to a vac. line, behind the throttle body. Wastegate lines should be run from a nipple attached directly to the turbocharger, or you may have boost creep.
i T off the intake manifold but for some reason im not blowing off ill have to check my BOv and see if its a fake RS or real cuz fake have issues.
