B20 vtec questions
I have a b20b block and b16a2 head! I was wondering what head gasket i need, what head studs and bolts? and can i use my avid mounts even though when i bought then it said b16,b18? Thanks
you dont need other mounts, get the golden eagle crvtec conserion, its the easiest to install. and get the arp head studes for the b20 block and b16 head, you can these parts from kingmotorsports.com
Golden eagle sells a full kit for the conversion.
You will need a
HG
Vtec oil line
and the nipples to connect to the head.
Use ARP headstuds too while your at it.., i'd look into upgrading rod bolts ls/b20 rods are strong, same with the crank.. the bolts are the only weakness really on the bottem end.
Watch your ign timing too.

i dont remeber what timing belt you use but the golden eagle kit comes with a special hg, oil line, dowol pin, everything you need to conver the motor to a vtec motor, just need the arp studs, and its best to swap the pistons, b20 pistons cant handle vtec heads

you have to use a B20 head gasket, and I would personally use ARP head studs, but you got to have an oil line and stuff so instead of piecing it together you should just get a CRVtec conversion kit....

OEM Honda B20 gasket those things are so reliable just modify the copper ring with a drill simple 2 min mod...I hear people all the time complaining that they keep blowing GE HG's all the time just like COMETIC nothing beat good OEM quality...
