I need to do a tune up on my D15 and been looking @ wires online, everywhere, eBay has them for like $60 shipped and plugs are cheapest @ Advanced Auto for $6.99 each.. Or does anyone else know a place to get NGK wires & NGK Iridium plugs for a good deal?
personally i think you should just use the oem replacement NGK plug...for like 2.19 each. not sure where to get NGK wires and i havent picked up the NGK parts yet as an approved dealer. why so you want the iridium plugs anyhow?
Stock plugs work just fine, and you don't really need the NGK wires unless you just "gotta have em." Or if you are running a turbo.
Even then, you don't necessarily need the wires, but would be nice to have them.
sorry. we all just agree on this that the wires are not that important and the oem NGK plugs are fine. until i see a plug give me more horsepower and the same for a wire i will not buy the expensive stuff. if youre buying the wires purely for the look of a color wire then i can see why you want them but save your money on the plugs. i have MSD on my mustangs but i have the entire MSD ignition set-up and i'm pushin a 200-shot of NOS. the car is also going to SEMA next year so its all worth it for me i do know the entire MSD set-up adds a small amount of power but thats why i spent all that cash on the stuff and also because of SEMA. and yes-it looks cool. your wires though i would just use a lifetime warranty set from autozone

your not going to get any extra performance out of it, and those prices arent even all that high. but iridium plugs are pretty much a huge waste of money.
its really no biggy. save for if you chose to get a thicker wire.
only use for iridium or double tipped platinum is so you can check it at 100k instead of 30k like copper ones. absolutely no performance gain.
sparkplugs.com if you can't stand just going to autozone/napa.

i must agree with the consensus of this thread. ive used whatever the ngk replacements are on 3 different honda motors, and i make sure to check them with every oil change. they usually come out and get trashed every 3-4 oil changes so no real need for me to cough up ~$5/plug when the ones for ~$2.19 do the job just fine.
