Timing connector queston with B series swap and Rywire harness.
Kind of a dumb question, but I would be grateful for any help. I am trying to set timing on my 91 Si with a B series motor. The harness was converted to OBD1 by Rywire. i found the timing connector by the passenger side kick panel. When I jump the connector it does not seem to do anything. So my question is should it do anything indicating it is jumped? The only other thing I have found that is different then stock with the Rywire harness is it has an orange and blue wire that you connect to check codes. Thanks for any help.
nothing is going to happen that you will audibly or visually notice when jumping the connector. it simply allows you to adjust the ignition timing by moving the dizzy without having the ecu try and compensate and reverse your changes.
thanks for the quick reply. I just was not sure the connector still worked since the engine harness was modified. I also read on the Integra forum that the check engine light would come on when jumping the connector, so I was making sure.
