89 CRX Clutch clevis pin.
So i'm driving home from getting some food and i first hear a small click. Seconds later i hear a big click and my clutch pedal is pressed down to the floor without my assistance
. I then got to get a closer look at what the eff went on with my clutch after driving home without one
. It turns out my clutch clevis pin has snapped. I cant seem to find anywhere online that sells just the pin. Any ideas? Oh yea, also when the pin snapped it decided to leave some of itself in the hole. any ideas on the best way to get that out in such a cramped place. Thanks in advance for any help.
clevis pin? i was unaware there was such a thing on an 89 rex. your referring to the pivot point that the clutch pedal arm moves on? how the hell did that break? im thinkin its like a rivet or somethin right there. dunno if it even comes off
Yea i'm assuming its a clevis pin that is used. Thats what i have read from whatever popped up from google. Yea the pivot point that the clutch pedal arm moves on i guess. Right now the pedal will just lock in place all the way released or pushed to the floor. I was unaware that this could break as well but this is the second time it has happened. Before it broke it was feeling as though there was too much tension on the pedal and maybe that caused it to snap the "pin". It's really starting to tick my off. I'm itching to get the Rex back on the road!!!
friend of mine had the whole clutch pedal brake off. the weld broke. his pedal was hard to press down. ended up being the throwout bearing broke a tab and was digging into the pressure plate. the extra force on the pedal broke his assembly off

well to me this diagram looks like a hydro pedal setup from a 92-95 civic maybe. the clutch cable attatches to the top of the pedal. where you have the pic circled looks like the pushrod for a clutch master cylinder that would be on a hydraulic setup. you do have a cable trans right? no swap or anything?
I am pretty sure you could order this at a honda part store for like cheap $2-3 or so or go to the junk yard and pull it out for free but then you have to pay for admission so it come out to be the same.
