Default RHD and LHD (not the type of thread you think)

So everyone has their say-so about LHD and RHD and converting.

This isn't about that.

I'm taking a LHD car, and replicating an EG9 (merely because i'm restoring the car, and figured i'd go all out and replace a lot of ****, so might as well make something of it)

Here's the thing. Currently i have the majority of an EG9 sitting in my garage. Last thing i'm gathering before i send the car for paint is the doors....RHD doors of course.

So here's my question.

Some say the harnesses don't match up, and i'm pretty confident they won't, due to the electrical components are in the Right driver door, not the left. I'm ASSUMING i could swap out the harness and anything electrical, and place my LHD harness in the door, then utilizing all components on the RHD door (except power folding mirrors). So therefore i'm converting RHD doors into LHD doors. (I'm doing this as my current shells are bad, and i am getting a hell of a deal on the doors, and all the accessories that come with them.)

The rears are the exact same.

I checked part #s and from what i can tell the majority of the guts are the same #s, so same part, but some things need to be swapped.

What do you think about this? Think swapping the harness and the "lock box" (not sure what it is, but if you take the driver door panel off, you'll know what i'm talking about), from my LHD doors into the RHD doors, SHOULD work?

It will work, assuming the JDM harnesses are use the same plugs and are pinned the same you could use them as well, just swap the from one side to the other. As a side note, JDM civic doors don't have side impact beams making your car even more like a pop car, or so i'm told, i haven't checked personally.

They don't from what i'm told as well, but I will verify this once they arrive.

I am going to attempt to use the doors exactly the way they come, and if i have luck, and the harnesses match up to the LHD car, it should be good...i hope.

i have the rhd doors on my four door... backs are exactly the same... all you gotta do is swich all the guts from the front us doors to the front jdm doors.. i still used the jdm inside door handles cuz if i used the usdm door handles(which have the power lock button) id have to cut the jdm door pannels. but the power windoe part fits perfectly into the jdm doors from the usdm doors. sooo yeah hope it helps.. good luck oh yeah the jdm doors DO have the impact bars i didnt think they had em either.. maybe just the eg6's dont have it???? not sure

The RHD wiring will work, but requires a bit of repinning of the connectors. For what it's worth, it's easier just to re-use the LHD harness from your old doors. You'll also have to swap the power lock actuators, b/c these function differently on JDM vehicles (no switch). The only thing you'd have to add are the power folding wires.
