just picked up my Type-R and the 2nd owner hav no idea what number it is.
he said theres a site he never had time to look up that will tell me what number it is..the badge on the armrest was stolen!

I think you are joking, but in any case so that others don't misinform themselves, Joe does not make up the numbers. In some cases he is forced to take an educated guess as to what range the number might fall, however he never makes anything up.

If you are lucky, he may have enough information surrounding your particular VIN that he can tell accurately tell you what badge number you do in fact have.

OP, and anyone else reading, my PM box here is FULL and I've been LaZy on clearing it out. Email the vin to me with all known history you have on heR, known mileage, # of owners, states she's been registered in, mods to the caR when you got it, anything unique, etc. I'll see what I can figure out.

Anyhoo. I don't have an exact match on heR # but my educated guess based on known and probable matches puts your # closely to the 1475-1479 range. I've added you VIN, contact info, and known details to my registry in case I find something more or can narrow the range tighter...I'll contact you.

Just get a blank armrest badge from Acura and have it engraved with 00~1475-1479. LOL

 

i went to the acura dealers today! they was like WHATTTTTTT! its savage title.. i was like okay so what number is my R...he said theres no number poping up and it should be the last number on my vin! which was like 5231.. WTH? my first R, the badge number didnt match my vin... i think...

 

It absolutely does not correspond to the VIN directly. 99.9% of dealership people have no clue about the badge #.
