99.9% done, except for 2 problems...
OK straight to the point...
problem 1.when motor is cold, it hesitate to start...
ex: it cranks, cranks then it spudder's a few times and with a little bit of throttle it starts up, once it runs for a min or so it'll start up just fine
-i already changed the cap and rotor, wires and plugs. only thing i haven't done is check timing, but it idles fine when warm
- do you guys think that old gas will do that, i don't know how long the gas has been sitting in the car...
-will no back pressure do that cause the cat and piping is not installed yet
-their is a cel but only cause the cat is not installed yet, i checked the codes already, only code that show's up is o2
problem 2. sometimes it'll crank, sometimes it'll click and sometimes it'll do nothing
-i cleaned up and grinned off the paint to get a good ground on both side of the wires and their mounting points on the tranny, the valve cover, the ground itself from the battery and the (i think it's power, but i cleaned it anyways) under the fuse box by the battery, the far right wire from the harness, and it still does the same thing
- i already replaced the starter with a new one
-main rely maybe?

completely stock car with original motor in it? or is it a swap? Sounds like your not getting enough fuel. Did you mess with the injectors? Does it smell like gasoline when you try and crank it?
96 4 door gsr
96 gsr motor all stock
it don't smell like gas when cranking
when we bought the motor, it came out of a wrecked but running 96 gsr coupe (T-bone), they just unpluged and removed the motor, harness was never removed, just the side plugs
I see.. so completely stock gsr? no after market parts like adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Sounds like a fuel problem to me.. Check fuel pump. Before you start the car, turn the key to the on position. You should hear a high pitch noise which is the fuel pump relay shooting fuel. If you dont hear something like that then its probably fuel related.
Have you checked the thermostat ground? There are 3 major grounds you should double check. Transmission to chasis, Head to chasis, and the thermostat ground! Make sure that one is tight

could be bad tps, haven't check timing, thermostat ground haven't been moved or touch, but i'll clean that ground too...
any other suggestions?
