Default where could i have lost 900 lbs?

ok so i weighed my car yesterday (at a truck weigh station off the highway) and the reading surprised me 2200 lbs

the door placard states the car is supose to weigh around 3300 lbs

so my question is where did all that weight go i have removed some heavy stuff but it should not have been around 1000 lbs ...

car is a 91 SI hatch.. has a B18a1 swap full interior including a fullsize spare (steel rim) jack and tools, NO AC(including wire and core under dash) i did just recently remove the dash/heatercore and fan from under dash, No from bumper support.... but i dont think all that could weigh 1000 lbs could it?

and i thought i have read that the B series engines weigh alot more than D series... so i dont know whats going on...

anyway i am just wondering if honda just prints an "estimated weight" or if the door placard weight is supose to accurate

yup that's the curb weight for an si. i believe it's 2280 lbs somewhere around there factory. the glass sunroof adds a lot of weight compared to a std. civic.

gross weight is the weight that is found when your car has passenger and basically stuff in it. Curb weight "actual weight" is the weight of your car without anything in it. GVWR is what is referred to when your car is filled with just gas and loaded to the vehicle manufacturers specs

kinda.. but not quite ^

"A gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is the maximum allowable total mass of a road vehicle or trailer when loaded - i.e including the weight of the vehicle itself plus fuel, passengers, cargo, and trailer tongue weight."
