Default gsr trans question

why is it i am blowing trans oil out of the black pcv looking tube at top of trans? to full? how to check fluid level ? someone said the only way to check it is to pull out the vss ?

This is answered in a thread right next to this one. You remove the 17mm filler plug which is located a little higher up and further back from the drain hole. Once the fluid is done coming out then tighten it back up and the transmission is full. I fill mine up by removing the vss and stop pouring when I see oil starting to come out of the fill hole.
