Crankshaft pulley rubbing AC Belt
Brand new to Honda-tech, so greetings to all. I have a 91 Accord with an F22. It runs fine until the AC is turned on while the engine is idling, and then it appears that the outer pulley on the crankshaft pulley assembly wobbles and actually contacts the power steering belt and makes all sorts of squealing noises. When the engine is revved it seems to stabalize. Only the larger "ring" crankvshaft pulley wobbles, the "ring" that the powersteering belts turns on does not. What's going on? Before I go in to take the crankshaft pulley off any advice would be greatly appreciated. PS- This happened to occur after I added ester oil to the AC system.
Replace both accessory belts (at least the ac belt) while you're at it. they have seen too much vibration and stress now that your crank pulley has come apart.
