Using Honda's electrical accessory power without the key?
Hi,
It seems that electrical accessory-power can only work while the key is in the ignition, the way the Civics come from the factory.
Is there a way to bypass this feature?
I would like to be able to do things like charge my cell phone without leaving the keys in the ignition.
And I read something else that I thought might be nice;
rumours the Prius has a solar panel that allows cabin vents to be left on without running down the battery. If there is any way I could do that to my Civic, I'd be interested since it gets very hot in summer and it would be nice if I had the ability to leave the vents on. :D

you could always find a wire in your car that has constant power and run it to the power outlet. you're setting yourself up for a dead battery though.
