did you ever have a problem with the idle surging? and for an auto its not bad but id like to do a 5spd swap cause it gets boring after a while lol

i had that problem with my civic....check map sensor, idle air, check egr, and make sure all plugs are connected in correct spots! 5spd swap is easier then u think man!

surging idle is common on these cars. REPLACE the fast idle valve, since its mostly that part that is bad. if you ever notice, those parts are pften gone in junk yards if the engine is still there. its gone for a reason and its because they go bad often. you should also replaca all the litthe coolant hoses from time to time as well. you can try that first but if it dont work replace the fast idle valve. also the iacv will also cause issues. try removing it and cleaning the port behind it and the screen on the back of the iacv. if that dont work replace the iacv. also make sure the coolant system is bleed correctly and that the coolant is not low. you should do this first but also if you remove any coolant lines for replacement
