Icon2 3 angle valve job lower seat pressure?

sent my head to machine shop was told it needed a valve job. Had it done told it needed valves because they were slightly bent. Had them replaced. Told i needed springs so i got supertech. Now the seat pressure is about 18 lbs to low any ideas? Called supertech they say that with stock seats and retainers should be around 85 lbs but they are around 67. please help

If the springs are new then there is nothing Honda-Tech can do to increase their seat pressure.... That's a Supertech issue.

Or the valve seat is cut too deep, and the spring is more relaxed when closed.

Have the machine shop measure the installation height. If the height is above specification, that would explain the lower seat pressure.

wow you are quick im not asking you if you will fix my car. im asking if the valve job could have lowered the seat pressure. but thanks for posting you put it back to the top tool

im not to happy with the machine shop. i had to do the research for them to do there job. i called suprtech and the only thing they could come up with is that the valves were longer than stock or that the valve seat was cut into. they said that there springs are for completely stock heads and i needed to shim them. got it done and head is back

sounds like this machine shop is trying to add stuff that really isnt needed but who knows. Your seats could be cut too low like was said previously unless they sent you the wrong springs......
