1989 civic hatch front right wheel hub replacement?
My wheel bearing is going bad so I need to replace the bearing, at the same time I don't want to pull the bearing to see i need a hub also. Buying a hub from honda is out of the question as its 300$. So what I'm asking is what other cars have the same front right hub for an 89 hatch? will a 90-91 work? what about a 4 door hub?
$300???? where are you getting your pricing from? list price is $175. you could get it from majestic honda for $126. not necessarily cheap but no where near $300. either way, why do you think you need to replace your hub?
cause I don't wanna pull my bearing to find out I need a hub. I may not need a hub...but if I end up needing it. I wanna know where to get one cheap ause I daily my car for my job so I ant affrd to pull the bearing and go oh sweet I need a hub now I gotta miss a week of work while I wait for it to come in...im gonna look at that majestic honda website your talking about
since when do hubs really go bad?? don't take that the wrong way, I'm not saying it in a degrading manner, but really, there's no moving parts or anything like that. It's a machined piece of metal that spins in the wheel bearing. what could go "bad" on it?
if the bearing is ****ed up and you drive on it for long enoug I guess it warps and you can't get a new bearing in it. It's just a risk I can't afford to take when I need my car daily
happened to me just now...my hub is about 1/4 of an inch too small from riding on it too long...cannot find a parts dealer so im going to try majestic
i hope they still make it!
