You dont have to replace the hub, unless if its the rare case of crazy honda that the hub breaks when its taken off (happens on 96-up civics).
But you need to send the knuckle off to a machine shop so they could use a press to pop it out and put it back in. You might be able to take the knuckle off and send it to honda to be replaced even.

Wheel bearings are roughly 60$ each. I would get new dust sheilds too, since this is the only time you can replace them. Also, if you were ever considering extended wheel studs, nows the time! lol

Correct i replaced my wheel bearings then 3 months later i snapped 1 stud in each front hub and decided to put extended studs in when pressing out the hub the wheel bearings seperated and i had to buy brand new ones.

Why would he have to replace the dust shields? I've replaced wheel studs and felt no need to replace the dust shield.

Because his replacing wheel bearings not just wheel studs. If you have the press do it yourself. Just remember theres a snap ring on each side of the bearing that you need to take out before you do it. Good luck.
