92 Integra GSR with B18c
After installing my new motor, my idling in my car became very hesitant ( at around 1500 RPM it will oscillate back and forth unless i give it more gas) I have a new Skunk 2 intake manifold, but still using the b17 throttle body, TPS and the other sensor beside that one ( i forget whats its called). I have a modified ecu for my b18c so i dont think its that problem, but when i put in the motor i used original harness ( i heard i can get an obd1-obd2 adapter, or vise versa cause i dont knwo which OBD i am ) . Please help! What are the first things i need to check ( like the basics). i have only one fan in my integra, is that also normal?
ALSO if anyone has a similar set up as me, would you recommend anything special for my car? performance wise. (i still dont have headers tho lol)
thanks everyone

i kind of have the same set up as you. i have an LS with a B18C with skunk 2 manifold but not sure what throttle body i have. When you purchase a manifold, it already comes with a throttle body. also i only have one fan too and never over heats, but then again i have a mishimoto radiator so idk if you have a bigger one?
You need to find out of its a obd2 or obd1 gsr motor! what does the stamp on the block and head say? im guessing its a b17 since you said you kept the b17 throttle body. im gonna say you have the map sensor plug switched with the tps plug!! or you might need to calibrate the tps sensor if it was removed ever. do you have a check engine light? if its a b17 its a obd1 and the harness should work fine in the car and should be compatible with your modded ecu granted its obd1 like most are because the obd2 ecus cant be chipped, and the motor runs so that means that's not the problem most likely, im gonna say either you have a vacume leak or the sk2 manifold isnt hooked up right and you have a vacuum leak cause of that, check the vacuum hose that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the top of the manifold and also make sure the all other connections are correct on the manifold, idle issues can be a few things, tps sensor, dizzy issues, or switched sensors on the map and tps, are a few. have you drove the car? best bang for your buck performance and $ wise would be a jdm itr replica header or a dc 4-1 header with a 2.5'' outlet. but again i bet $5 its a switched plug on the tps and map they look the same and can be switched by accident and will cause a high idle, i just made that mistake when i swaped in my itr motor in my gsr and when i started the motor i had a high idle and when i checked i had those to plugs switched, the tps plug was on the map and vise versa.
thanks for the reply guys. Ok so im flying back from europe this week. Ill check for what you both asked me and i will get back to you as soon as i can. the switching of the sensors is prob not the problem because my mechanic is good, but i think ur right about the vacuume leak. When he put my throttle body on the Skunk2 intake manifold, he told me using the 2000 gsr throttle body doesnt work bc it just didnt fit right. instead he kept my old throttle body connected, but because the two parts (throttle body and intake manifold) were for different year cars, we got a vacuum leak that he had to seal with "sealant" :$ . yes i do have a check engine light and. My motor is a b18c not the b17 sorry i might of confused u. my harness however is from the b17 motor and being used on my b18c motor. i was told there is some sort of harness i can use in order to make them fully "compatible" (the harness b17, with my b18c motor) what do u guys say
thanks again
thanks again
