i want some more power!!!!
so far i have only JDMed my car with looks and now its time for power. i have a em1 that is stock other then the intake. no headers or exhaust. those will come soon. i am used to the b16a2 power already but i want more power and not wanting to spend a grip of $$$$$. it has about 132k miles on it because its my dd so the power that i want to put in it will have to be daily drivable.
if you have any advice please let me know.......thanks
post some pics of your setups from your dd.

i like how you said you 'JDMed' your car lol. ANYWAY to get some NOTICABLE power out of your B16 u actually ARE gonna have to spend some money. depending on how much you got, you could turbo it. Or, find a GSR block and throw your B16 head on it. you will feel the torque difference on the 1.8 Litre immediatly.
if you don't want to do those, invest in some Camshafts/header/exhaust and a TUNE. good luck.

when you do things like aftermarket camshafts in your car, you usually want to get the ECU (computer) tuned. this is so you make the most power out of your car and it is more reliabale. when you add header, intake, exhaust, it changed the characteristics of your car.
its not really NEEDED, but if you get SERIOUS about modifying the motor, a TUNE is required.
in your case, i think you dont need one.

just go boost...put je pistons wit eagle rods, port polish your head, stock sleeves,gt35r turbo,460cc rc injectors,88.1mm bore....you vcan be pushing around 300-500 whp if you do e85 you can push moré whp
it would be recommended because your changing the characteristics of how the air flows into your motor.. for example an aftermarket intake manifold with a bigger throttle body. Or maybe a larger 3" air intake
ram horn big horsepower turbo manny,skunk2 intake, retainers, springs, stage 2 cams, aem adjustable cam gears, hondata s100 wit a piggy & ECU jumper harnes túne itgood you can put down some good *** horsepower

Why do you say that? have you not properly taken care of it. Your going to spend the same amount for a header, and cams and building the head, as you would putting a turbo kit together to run 7 psi... Just boost it and that's the only way you'll be happy... Plus you could get a super duper JDM Blitz BOV (blow off valve) and make a sweet woosh sound! YO!
i am planning to buy a fully build gsr swap within the next 8 months. this swap has a built head with a sleeved block bored 84mm i think including eagle rods/pistons, camshaft/gear, etc. fully built for turbo.
before i buy that i want to mess with b16a2 to give it a kick. then put that engine into my upcoming eg that i will use for my dd and keep my si for special occasions like meets/tracks.
i was thinking ctr pistons first then chipped ecu then camgears/camshaft.
anyone know a good website for the ctr pistons that i can buy and the camshafts.....
Do unbelievable things with this engine. I wouldn't do ctr components, they're not built for boost. If you want more power, put low comp pistons, some strong *** rods, have the block honed, and then do a nice valvetrain setup with some lopy freaking cams. THEN boost. I say shoot for 4-500 whp
if this is your dd you really need to think about how you use it and how far you drive and all these factors that may mess up you aftermarket parts over a long period of time. if it has 132k, I would just do basic changes(exh, head, cold air, swap spargplugs, change ur fluids, susp, pulley system, and even swap ur throllld if your up for it) all these things would make a huge difference if your currently running stock motor. Keep it this way untill u get some mula for a new engine or u can set the car a side and actually put some serious hp on it. Mine has about 163k its a 95 dx coupe and ive done about half of these things, is not the fastest or the quickest but its respectable. Im just waiting for the thing to seriously mess up to do a swap.
To OP
These cars are not race cars and are ment to go as fast as they go stock. If you want to make it faster you must put some good $$$ into it. You wont be happy with your set up if you try and not spend the money and do it right the first time. Don't Make your life misserable.
