Stereo Installation: Harness Dilema!
Ok...to make it easier I took some pics:
Back of head unit: Notice the size of the male side of the harness...
Now look at the harness that is in the car:
Here is the car harness trying to line up with the male side on the head unit:
Now I just took this head unit out of my '92 and I am planning on using it in the '95 until I feel like getting a new head unit. Now, is there a harness adapter I have to buy? Or what? I have never ran into this problem before when installing stereos....but I guess there is a first for everything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

well you cant just use any HU in any car, not all cars have the same harness..
although, they do make adapter plus things, never seen one to go from one OE harness to another OE stereo, but im pretty sure you'll be able to find something, or if u have to just ghetto rig it

is that a stock or aftermarket radio??? if its an aftermarket and relitivly new you can go to circuit city and get a smart harness.. its a harness that plugs into the car harness and go directly into the stereo harness w/ no cutting or soldering.. the parts will cost you more than normal but it will solve your dilemma of ghetto rigging it..
Go to Circuit City, buy a $15 stereo wiring harness for $15. The purpose of this harness is to make the aftermarket radio compatible with the factory radio harness. Once you buy that, figure out which end connects to the factory. Then cut the side which would connect to the aftermarket radio, cut the connecting end of the radio harness, and solder the wiries together making sure you match them up. If you're confused, I can send pictures. Not that difficult.
