SUBARU OF AMERICA SUPPORTS LOCAL SCCA REGIONAL AUTOCROSS

To be eligible for the Subaru money you need to be an active member of the SCCA not just a member of SJR. We will have applications at registration.

See the SCCA South Jersey Region's web site for complete details at http://www.sjr-scca.org

Westampton, NJ-September 10, 2002 - The South Jersey Region of the SCCA announced today that Subaru of America, Inc. will sponsor the region’s 2002 fall Solo II schedule beginning in September. To provide added interest in these events, Subaru will offer cash awards to the top five PAX finishers as part of its sponsorship. There are four events planned for the fall. They are: September 22; October 12; October 27; November 3. At the Camden River Sharks parking lot in Camden NJ. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. (see http://www.sjr-scca.org for directions) "Subaru has been involved in World Rally and SCCA competition for a number of years," said Robert Johnson, Fixed Operations Sales Manager at the Penn Jersey Regional Office. "We want to be more involved with the SCCA at the local level, and do whatever we can to increase participation and awareness of Subaru at SCCA events. This will supplement what Subaru of America is already doing on a national level with SCCA," he added The four events will be called "The Subaru-SJR Solo II Challenge" and is open to all stock, street prepared, prepared, street touring, and street mod classes.
