Default Creaking noise when steering...

Ok, so on my 98 dx the front drivers side wheel creaks when I turn but ONLY when it hits bumps. And if I put my foot on the top of the tire and rock it back and forth it constantly creaks. And if I turn the steering wheel a bit then let it snap back in place, it makes a slight creaking sound as well.

Clearly something is wearing out, I have new shocks and springs so it's probably the ball joint or something? Or could it just be warn out bushings?

I don't have a front sway bar either.

I wanna try to find out what it is before I get it fixed somewhere, I don't want it to be something simple that I could of done myself.

I would jack up the car and have someone try to reproduce the sounds while you get under there and try to pinpoint where it's coming from. It's probably a ball joint or bushing like you mentioned. I would bet it's something with the upper control arm, but it could be anything. There's a lot of **** in the front end that can squeek.

Ya I know thats what sucks. I'm gonna see if I can find what it is by jacking the car up.

Everything feels fine with the car, and the noise isnt even that loud, so i'm guessing its a bushing or something. But ya it could be anything.

inspect the tie rod end, upper bj, and lower bj. my money's on the lower one though because they hold the most weight and tend to fail more often. due to the nature of the a lbj failing you may not be able to reproduce the sound without the weight of the car on it. i know this to be the case from first hand experience.
