Passing emissions by just pulling a intake manifold hose?
Anyone know about this? I have someone who is telling me that by pulling a hose on the intake manifold, you can pass emissions. Havent gotten word on which hose it is, but appearently, there is a hose.
i dont think that would work. i think most states now check your emisions by pluging into your obd comp., (1996 and up) if u have or recently had a CEL u dont pass..... someone correct me if im wrong. what year is your car?
Wierd, I thought 95 and up cars were OBD II...
Failing HC idle test
send me your email and i'll send you the pic
it worked for me!
some states only do the sniffer test, Delaware doesnt do a computer hook up or rollers or underhood inspection
i would have failed on all three plus im not running a cat

It may be time for a quick tune-up consisting of plugs, wires, and distributor cap and rotor. You might as well do the fuel filter and run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through.
Is your PCV valve operational?
Is your PCV valve operational?
In a couple days when I do it again, I will have fully tuned up the car (fuel filter, CAI, 44k cleaner, plugs, wires, PCV, oil, oil filter, ignition timing), right now I am just driving it around.
What do you mean by operational? I just bought a new PCV valve. So I guess thats considered operational?
