Default 92 EG H22A cel 12

I have a 92 with a jdm h22a and today it was raining while I was driving it but it was fine. I parked it and went in to hang with a friend. The rain stopped, I started up the motor and it was a rough start, then the cel came on. I was able to drive it to my bro's house and now it's running rough and sputtering bad. It will start up and then idle down and about to die and then kick up over 1,000 rpm. I check the code and it said 12, I unplugged the battery, reconnected it and now the code just stays on and doesn't even blink when i turn the key on acc or start up. Ooh yea i code kept blinking while I was driving it. Any help please.

well it might help if you do some reading code 12 is egr valve so common sense would tell you if you had any to replace the egr valve , honda tech has a cel section for a reason and a search function so this site dosent get cluttered with these bullshit threads

Common sense would tell you to diagnose the EGR system. Which includes the egr valve, lift sensor, frequency solenoid, cvc valve, ecu commands, and associated hoses. I used to have a JDM p13 ECU that ran like crap every time it rained. Turned out the ECU was actually bad.

Thanks A lot dumb ****!! If you don't have anything good to say plz keep it to yourself!! Some people don't know this kind of stuff!! Also I check the code before I posted this.

Anyways, I unplugged the harness on the black part. Which I don't know what part that is. After I unplugged it the car is fine and runs reg. But a little lag when pass 3k rpm, the cel blinks code 12 when driving. Also the car smells like lawn mower with bad gas when all is plugged up and it's sputtering.

Ha Ha! If you post some pics, I can help you diagnose the EGR system.

Pictures aren't going to help diagnose anything. You should look up code 12 in the service manual (the one for your engine, not your car) and do what the hell is says.

How the hell are you going to come in here, after being a member for a year, with a question like this and not expect to get reamed? You didn't even bother to figure out what code 12 means.
