2006 Civic SI muffler tip
Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used a TSX or S2000 tip instead of the factory SI tip on the stock muffler. I don't want to really go aftermarket, I really like the look of the stock one. But I just don't want to spend $70 on a tip from the dealer. I know the TSX and S2000 tips are cheaper. So I was thinking of going that route. But I don't know if the tips will fit correctly on the SI muffler. Let me know.

Wait do u mean ur tryna stick an si tip on a non si or pea shooter exhaust basically?
If ur running the pea shooter the s2k one wud prolly work better becase the size ... The si tip works on si's because our pipings 2" but the non si I belive is like 1.5"

I have a 2006 civic si stock muffler. I want to know if an s2k or a TSX muffler tip will fit on the 06 si muffler. Or if there is another one out there that fits and looks just as good.
why doesn't your si muffler have the tip on it already?
I picked up an si axleback gasket and bolts for like $95 shipped with less than 1500 miles, put it on my lx.

I have an integra. I bought the si muffler from the dealer. I just don't want to pay $70 for a tip from the dealer. I'm bolting the Si muffler to the ITR intermediate pipe.

ahhhh ic....well the exhaust pipe itself exiting is similar in size to the lx actually, the noticable difference is just the inlet to the muffler. So you could possibly run an lx-s tip as well.
huh.... do you have any pics of the LX tip by chance? Does it look similar to the SI tip?
just google lx-s, it doesnt look like the si, its just a round chrome tip, you can get one from collegehillshonda for like $50 or find one on ebay.
Yeah, I don't like them too much. The dealership has them for $32, but I like the look of the SI and the TSX tip alot better. Thanks though for helping out.
I don't have the LX civic, but I do have the EX and the SI.
I thought that I could take the SI tip and put it on my EX, but the EX outlet was about 1.5" and the SI tip was too big to screw down to the EX.
I bought a used SI axle back and the dounut gasket and installed it on my EX.

Great info. Thanks for letting me know. Cause that means more than likely the LX has the same tail pipe as the EX. So that wont work for me. Thanks.
