if you notice the rpms getting higher and you can tell the connection from the engine to the tranny is slipping then yes it's definitely your clutch.

yah the higher the rpm the more you can tell the connection from the tranny and engine.

well what about it? if you think the flywheel is bad then thats a great chance that its also the whole clutch unit too

a good running honda doesnt leak anywhere. if there is a leak around there it is most likely the dizzy o-ring. or you have a valve cover leak or worst case head gasket is blown but not bad.

i always thought and did it this was, pull E-Brake so car wont roll, put it in 4th gear and slowly lift your foot off the clutch and give it gas, if the car does not die, you need a new clutch, if it starts die regardless of how much gas you give it then your clutch is good

ok i did that 4th gear ebrake thing just a little of gas tho not too much about 3krpm just enough for take off it did stall. so that means my clutch is good would that have to do anything with my flywheel or pressure plate? cause i really feeel like my clutch is spinning in high rpm. but im not sure.

Ok. Listen, this is easy. Drive the car, get to around 30 mph, put it in 5th and mash the gas and hold it to the floor. If the car keeps moving, but very slowly (obv) your clutch is fine. If it slips, and revs like it's in neutral then your clutch is slipping

If the flywheel or pressure plate are "slipping", then the clutch is slipping. If the engine seems to be "accelerating faster" than the car, then the clutch is slipping.

Another testosterone clutch test is try to do a burnout in 2nd gear at a stop on a slick surface (painted/sealed payment) dump the clutch holding the RPM's at 3000. If it does spin the tires- clutch likely ok. If the engine keeps going but no tire spin, really slipping clutch. If the engine bogs down then the car begins to creep or go but no spinning tires, clutch.

Now I don't recommend doing this frequently or for very long, just to give the clutch a real quick hard test. When the clutch is good this will put a large shock load on the drivetrain, but since you're fairly certain the clutch is slipping then the slipping clutch is what will take the shock load and not the drivetrain.

t3h jam's test is a good one too, and puts less stress on the drivetrain regaurdless of the clutch's condition.

Whichever test you do, be smart about it. Don't do it in a garage, busy bank parking lot (they are often painted/sealed), busy road, etc.
