Tire Question
Hey, I searched this but I couldn't find a thread that talked about it...
What kind and size of tire do you guys put on your 16X6.5 rim setup? More specifically JDM 16" ITR rims?
215/45/16? 205/45/16? What brands? Potenza RE760??

Bridgestone Re-11's are a favorite for itr owners. Dunlop star specs are another favorite. I wont comment on tires size cause I have 205-50-16 on my c10s.
The best 16" tire sizes for an ITR are 205/45-16 and 215/45-16. However, 215/45-16 is too wide for a 16x6.5 rim, so you'll need to get 205/45-16.
As for what kind of tire, it depends on what you need.
If you need to use the tires in snow and bitter cold in the winter as well as warmer weather the rest of the year, you'll need all-season tires; I recommend the Kumho Ecsta ASX.
If you don't need to use the tires in snow or bitter cold (because the weather doesn't get cold where you are, or you have another set of tires or another vehicle to use in that weather), then you can take advantage of the higher performance of summer tires. If you want the best performing summer tires and you don't care that they won't last as long or may cost more, I recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 or Toyo Proxes R1R. If you will use summer tires for daily driving and you care about how much they cost and how long they will last, I recommend the Yokohama S.drive. (The Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport is also very good, but significantly more expensive.)

If they are 16x7, that opens up choices in 215/45-16, including the Kumho Ecsta XS as well as the Azenis RT-615K. These, as well as the RE-11 and R1R, are "extreme performance summer tires", the stickiest street tires you can buy.
The Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport which you originally mentioned isn't as sticky as these (that's why Bridgestone makes the RE-11), but it lasts longer and costs less. Other good choices in longer-lasting summer tires include the Yokohama S.drive and Fuzion ZRi, both of which are usually less money than the RE760.
All of these tires are summer tires and should not be used on snow or in frigid cold.
