Most likely, yes, the VSS is on a different part of the harness. I don't think the plug goes near there.

shoot for the blue wire on the dizzy and no where else. if the tach isn't doing anything you might want to make sure the power is hooked up correctly. if thats all well and good then the tach might be bad.

I actually last night cut all the wires and reinstalled the tach, it works fine except for i spliced into the wrong wire off the cluster for the backlight. otherwise i was very happy to have finally got it fixed. the person i got it from had it wired so hokey, it was rather a mess to clean up the wires and such, i even found some burnt wires i had to fix under the dash. damn russian rebuilds >< no offence but its what i get for not knowing what i was getting into.

Thank you! Its been a project. Next im saving for new bumpers and paint, getting rid of the kit its got on it, been a fiberglass pain in my a$$. I am still getting used to a 5inch below stock car and about two weeks ago I re-cracked the front bumper and had to fiberglue it together and retouch up with paint, at least its an electron pearl blue paint so it was easy to match color...at least i think its EPB, the touch up is barely lighter, i attributed that to weather. for it being barely deeper.
