I recently purchased a 1987 crx si, everything was good until today when i was backing out of the driveway, i heard a loud clunk from the front passenger side, I put the car in 1st to pull over to the side and the front ride side makes a horrible noise, after a couple mins of play, i realize that the right tire barely moves (and grinds) when the wheel is turned all the way to the left or all the way to the right.

The tire isn't rubbing, but i think it might be my rack and pinion, what do you think?

 

If you front right tire does not move(turn when you turn the steering wheel) then ur tie rod came off or broke off.

 

The tire itself will rotate when i have the tires facing forward, but as I turn the steering wheel either left or right, it becomes harder and harder to rotate the tire, and when we pushed the car in the garage, it made a terrible grinding noise.
