The remote for my alarm broke off the key chain, so i need another one where can i get one from. cant seem to find it on any honda parts seller website

 

see your dealer. when i worked at the dealer i used to get these repair orders often. depending on what year your car is, you may need to have the dealer do it. the programing of your new remote.

1988-97 model hondas dont show that one but you have it so i am thinking maybe it came from a newer car. is this the actual remote? can you find any numbers on it? possibly part numbers?

let me finish looking later. i was looking for all the newer models thinking if it was a used car a dealer may have installed it later as an added feature using an old alarm system that had not been sold from the parts department. i have like 40 more to look through

okay i just looked at 50 remotes for hondas (factory parts) i didnt find it is it possible that you have a nock-off that is modeled to look like a honda part? what are the numbers on the battery? the battery numbers are also in my list of all the alarm units. if possible, look under the dash on the drivers side and tell me if you see an alarm unit there that has a company name like clifford of viper or some other name.

 

Okay i found a black box under the dash , but has no name on it, i found what looks to be a resisiter box or something lol that said tanbe on it but that was it

okay that will help. i cant believe that looks like a honda remote yet its not in my system. it looks too good to be a knock off honda remote LOL. were you able to find numbers on the battery in the remote?

 

The battery is some cheap lookin battery called Emagaton and is size 27A or MN27

Dont mind that white wire with the LED on the end, it was connected to anything i was just stuffed under the dash for some reason lol never seen it before

i found out that the remote is going to be about as much as a new alarm system. you might wanna get a new one. i spent 78 bucks for my new alarm which i am using with my 60 dollar door popper solinoids for my mustang. the guy said basic alarm systems start at like 60 bucks these days. how much is your remote gonna cost (price estimation)? i looked a while back but i didnt find the remote you have anywhere in my stuff. have you been to the dealer yet?

 

Check on ebay. My friend got one for his Odyssey on there. And the instructions to program it should be easily found with a google search, or might even come with the remote.
