questions on removing alarm, and adding keyless to dx.
I have a 98 civic dx with a Crimestopper cs2000dp11 series IV alarm installed, and i going to be getting a Clifford Matrix 3.3 alarm soon.
I would like to try and uninstall the old one just to save me like $60, I have the alarms manual and have been looking at.
My Questions, is can i just pull it out? Im not 100% if wires were cut or just spliced, it does have ignition kill. WIll that be A issue if i take the alarm out? Sorry for the noob questions, I just have no clue about removing alarms.
Other question is adding keyless, I dont care if i have the switches or anyting, just want it hooked up to alarm. Switches would be cool, if not much money or hard to install.
I have been searching around but just cant find a diy, a list of what i need or anyting. I know i need acutators, but what else?
Im not a total noob, i am comfortable with wireing, have a multi meeter and stuff.
Any help with be greatly apreciated!!!
Another one is, is the clifford alarm good?, or should i just go with the 50.7x, dont really care for the screens, they are cool but im hard on the remotes lol

Removing alarm should be easy, find brain and fallow all leads to where they connect to cars wiring, disconnect, ign. or starter kills will require that the cars cut wires be reconnected, also not that hard to do.
Cilfford makes goos alarms
For door locks you will need the actuators and two SPDT relays... http://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp wired like this... Actuators / Reverse Polarity http://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arp to add switches go to a pick&pull and get the inside door handle, [with switch] for your car, it is a simple 3wire SPDT momentary switch, black wire is grounded the other two go to same terminal on relays as alarm, easy as cake, piece of pie. 94

The relays and actuators will work.
For a few more $$ look for central locking kit, or 5wire actuators.
A central locking system will have a control box, [relays] and the power door lock switch is built into the actuator, so using the manual door lock switch of either door or key in either door will lock and unlock both doors, or if kit includes 1 5wire actuator and 1 2wire actuator the drivers door manual switch and key will lock and unlock both doors, both systems can be connected to any alarm for key-less entry. 94

If i understand you right, all i need is this, no need for other relays? Just wire up and go?
My biggest concern is will it work with my alarm Im getting?
Which due to the flooding the date was moved to the 11th
Thank you for the help!!!!

i would assume that since there is the controll box you shouldn't need the relays for the door actuators, but the best way to know for sure is to simply ask them if you are going to need a seperate relay set up for a vehicle equiped with manual door locks
You will not need anything but the kit, that kit comes with 1 5wire actuator, [for drivers door] so you will get central locking from drivers door only. 94
Well got and installed alarm today. The old one was total hacked, noithing was properly connected, just simple spliced in and left
Next time i will install them damn thing myself, im done having car toys install anything, there prices constalty change, and want $40 to install a led light, because i hate how its built into the antena.
I will try and order the central locking system this week. One more question this time about auto start, i was looking at the alarm and it looks pretty easy to add, is there any relays or anything i need to do this?
Thank you very much for the help.

You will not need anything else.
