Test drove an 07 civic si 4dr
Hey guys figured i would post my question here. I test drove an SI yesterday. The wife and I are thinking of getting something 4dr since both my cars are two doors and we have a baby on the way.
Anyway I really liked the car it felt nice and solid and handled well. My only complaint was when we got on the highway it had A LOT of wind noise. I was actually kind of disappointed. It had as much if not more then my CRX and it's 20 years old. Is this an issue with anyone else? Or maybe it was the civic I test drove. This was the first one I ever drove.
The car was an 07 galaxy grey with 30K miles on it.

well on my FA5 i never really noticed it when i got her back in 07. So i guess mine didnt have that problem but then again i have window visors since 12k miles. and it has only 25k miles right now. Id say test drive another 4 door si its a good car to have its worth it, coming from a 4door owner

Oh another question is did the 4dr SI's come with fog lights?
Not 1 out of the 5 they had on the lot had any fog lights in them. There was a coupe that had them tho.
4 door si's had fogs as an option in 07-08. they came standard in 09+ coupes and sedans.
and i havent regretted purchasing my 4 door for 1 minute. its an overall good car for the $$. i have taken it on some of the curviest roads that the NC/TN mountains have to offer, and i outperformed quite a few other hondas that went on the trip. b20vtec hatches, a couple of typeR's, b20vtec crx, boosted z6 ej1, and a few others. it definitely exceeded my expectations with the stock suspension up there!

No mine didnt come with them But its a easy thing to do. i had to install mine, if ur buying from a honda dealer you can ask them to install for you, it will be pricey but looks awesome, mine are ebay ones lol but you cant notice the difference, so i saved like 100+ haha

As far as the fogs go I guess if I would want some in future I would have to replace the front bumper?

My mistake was the coupe has them in the bumper like so...

and the sedans have them in the open part of the grill like this...

Thats an actually picture of the car by the way. So it does have fogs.

I opened the sunroof panel and check it out while we were driving seemed fine. I wanna say it sounded like it was coming from the door or maybe that little window in front of the side mirror? I think i will def. look at another if we go back.
I can attest to some nasty wind noise, for sure.
I think it has to do with the car's aero profile and the huge amount of glass. It does seem to be coming from the mirror/small window in front.
OP: I would stick with the Galaxy Grey, it's one of my favorite colors for this car aside from PMM, ROP, and TW. And with 30k miles + fogs you can't really go wrong.
I have OEM door and sunroof visors now and I honestly think they help. You might want to look into them.
