Default Project .:SickTricks:. Ground Up Build. Another one in the Saving.

The story about this car is pretty average for an integra. The first owner had it brand new from the lot from 1995 straight from honda and has maintained it well. Apparently it was a mother (older lady) that let her college kid suip it up.

I bought it 4 years ago and it has been hit by another truck while parked in the front and the front was redone by a shop threw insurance.

I then lost my license for dui and the car sat for two years in storage while i worked around the globe heh. My brother was messing with it here and there and tried to fix some accumilating rust he said in the rear quarters.

The cars bushings are all gone and motor mounts r shot. The oem shocks r blown and well im sick of seeing such a nice car in this condition being so rare today.

Also For time the car has been running rich before i layed it up 2 years ago so im guessing the o2 sensors are out and gaskets must be bad cause im losing coolant etc, also leaking oils etc, so seals must be bad. engine light is on throw TDC sensor codes, brakes are all old, worn out suspension etc.

So I started my rebuild.

I have access to a shop and storage units so the car is there now on jack stands and currently stripped.

All the interior is out and trunk and body. the rad is out hoses are out, everything unhooked. the tranny is out and the rest of the engine is still sitting in the car attatched to the driver side though.

For now though my main focus is on the interior floor.

upon removing the sound dampening material there is alot of damn rust and its so ugly but it seems to be surface rust so ima grind it all off... but its so ugly i almost dont even wanna grind it off i just wanna cut the damn floor out and weld new. hmm ill see i guess ;p

Did you like the car the way it was when you bought it?...or were you planning on changing it from the start...

I'm having a hard time believing that a older woman put that kit, rims, and wing on it...

her son did it up i stated this already. (he was a college kid)

the kit is a bomex kit, im going 2000 itr everything

also the reason im doing this is because the floor is rusted and quarter panels are rusted. the bay needs paint and alot of parts like the old rad and **** needed replacing and the shocks etc, so everything old is going out! and everything new is going in. keep in mind the picture is 4 years old it looked good back then, since its been in accidents and been sitting and everythings seized/old now.

I honestly didin't mind the body kit and the way it looked when i first got it, it was clean and done properly, but the fact that its been threw accidents and the fiberglass was all cracked up and screwed up and haggard looking then a shop tried to fix it and primed it all and but it all back on then my brother got in accidents and tried to repair and paint the fiberglass himself, hence how the car ended up 3-4 colors and haggard looking, he even cut gay *** shapes in the quarter panel figured he was doing good trying to bondo it. so i moved my car into my new shop and changed locks and only have the key now so i been doing mass work to it, i have more updated pics now of my work, but i have to go for today, ill post them up tomorrow.

Oh ok. I'm not really a fan of body kits. I like the stock look, perhaps with a Type-R Lip Kit and Wing, and then maybe lowered. Are you planning on restoring it similar to the way it was before?

Well turns out upon removing the sound dampening material in the trunk today and interior floor, the interior floor is rusted to hell, the entire pasenger side front and rear dampening materials came off in one peice to tell u how badly rusted the floors is.

got more holes /areas then expected that need replacing. i had my camera today and took all the pics but got a ride home from my uncle and forgot the bookbag in the van and he lives further away so when i retrieve it ill get the pics up.

other then that i only broke 2 clips on one of the a pillar rear windows when taking the trim off. so ill just order that whole piece from honda again when im ready for it.

I also plan on using 4 point harness seatbelts so i wont need to replace the stock belts/mechanism so i guess this is a plus.

I'll have to do rust repair on my integra too. I need to buy quarters, wheel wells and who-knows-what else when they get pulled off. Delray Acura of Florida has super good prices on body panels. They're 100% oem Acura parts too. Quarters cost $423 a side plus $25 shipping. My local Acura asks $571 a side...

really?

i been looking for rear quarters forever, even on ebay, could only find honda ones.

even the honda ones were half quarters.

are these integra quarters u talk of full quarters?

can you pm me more details on this place and the quarters?

and apparently my floors on the passenger side is rusted right threw, gonna need to replace the entire floor on that side. lukily my boy helping me works at the local scrap yard and just received a racing integra with everything stripped and floor is mint. gonna chop it out of that.

and i only cracked off one bolt thus far and that was on the front swarbar bracket :/

luckily it was the small accessable one :p

pics soon, camera was left at my uncles today who dropped me off at my shop but i forgot the damn book bag in the van. and he lives outta town zzz.
