Default 94 del sol vtec speedo needle in wrong spot

Ok I installed new guage faces and I took off the speedo needle and didn't mark it first. I can't for the life of me find the correct spot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Btw I'm poor have no cash at all. I'm a mechanic as well if that helps. I couldn't find anything on alldata or the forums that is a sure fire way. Thanks.

take it apart again....with the needle off, turn key to on position then replace the needle where it needs to be...should be fine...don't push it down too far though cause when it gets hot it will stick alot

When I stick the needle back on with the key on do I line it up to zero mph or slightly before that? Cause I remember taking the needle off and the silver peg it presses onto moved backward a bit. Thanks.

I don't know exactly what your speedo is doing. When you turn the key to slot II does the speedo jump to a certain MPH right off the bat even though the car is not moving? If so just pull it off and put it at zero. I have had to do this to several clusters and it worked fine.

One of mine would jump to roughly 40mph once key was at slot II, so I took the needle off and set it at zero with the ignition still on. Once at zero turn the Ignition off, then back on and make sure the needle stays at zero.

Ok sorry it took so long to reply I got rearended by a drunk driver and said f-it for a bit. They didn't have insurance. So I tried putting the needle back on while the cluste was hooked up and with the key on. That didn't work so i tried again with the engine running so it would have proper voltage. Still I'm 10 mph and more If I'm under 50 mph. I am running 205/50/15. But before I started with the cluster it wasn't off that much. Any ideas? Also the tire size might be 205/55/15. Can't remember an I'm not at the car.
