My Honda Statistics Study
I have a big statistics project coming up where I need to run some tests on any topic I choose, so naturally it must be about Honda’s!
GOAL:I’m going to run some tests on gas mileage we gather. To perform this this study I’m going to need lots of samples from the population… you! Below is a form, if you’d like to help with the study please fill out the information and post it up!
To keep this survey as organized and simple as possible, still with productive results, I am limiting it to 5th and 6th generation Civics only (no Del Sols, sorry), with either B series or D series engines only.
I have less than two months to complete the project, and the more people there are the more accurate the study will be! Obviously I will post results when finished, so please help make this a success! Thanks in advance to all who help out!
FORM
Vehicle: (year, car, body style, sub model):
Drivetrain: (engine + auto or manual trans)
Modification level: (stock; low [bolt-ons]; medium [mild internals ect]; high [heavily built engine ect]; and/or boosted)
Driving Style: (please only either: passive, normal, or aggressive)
Mileage: (highway, city, or combined)
SAMPLE FORM:
Vehicle: 93 civic coupe ex
Drivetrain: d16z6, 5 speed manual
Modification level: low
Driving Style: aggressive
Mileage: 25 average
*** Of course, in a study like this there are many lurking variables that could also be tested, but this is as far in depth as i've decided to go for this project which should produce successful results regardless. Mathematically I only need 30 samples, but for a decent study I think i'll need more like 50, but hope to get well over 100!
** Relocated from Tech/Misc
THE RESULTS!
Okay, so here are the results. Now, I had many tests that i wanted to do, but due to the laws of statistics I could not do them all considering I did not get enough samples to test specific variables. So, the results here speak generally for 92-00 Civics, and reflect the results of what the entire population would be! Here is my project, the test and analysis of the results (earned a 100% btw
). Thanks again to all who participated!
..........

Survey Results: These came out small, here's the direct link to zoom in further. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...12/pooooop.jpg

Vehicle: '96 DX Sedan
Drivetrain: D16Y7 5-speed
Modification level: None

PS: I think they should state what transmission they have, it will make a difference, if you are willing to go a step more into the research.
I will be doing a motor swap monday night on my car, if you want I can do the milage to see a difference in the same car.
