1985 honda crx dx ignition coil
So ive been trying to get my crx running for a few months now. I have replaced the distributor cap, fuel pump, spark plugs, and last the ignition coil. We tested the old ignition coil and theres some spark, but car won't start. I bought the new one and the new has no spark at all. I have someone helping me out with this issue. In order for the ignition coil to spark and the car to turn over the ignition coil needs to be firing at 1.06-1.24 ohms? I am confused with this and need some help thanks.

You may want to make sure that your camshaft is actually turning.
If the cam doesn't spin, you get no spark....
I have actually seen a couple of instances where the key way on the cam gear sheared off and the gear was just spinning on the shaft.

You need to stop buying parts, start at point 1 is the distributor and cam spining? Pull the cap off and have someone crank the engine. If so use a timing light on all spack plug wires to see if you get spark anywhere.
3rd if everything is moving, and you have no spark, then you need to start over again with the eletrical side. check your main fuse, resistors and wiring for damage or unhooked. if you find nothing then email me and we can go from there. ilwacoauto@yahoo.com
