Default My 2009 GPW ~ CR conversion Project Car (4th try)

This is my 4th s2000 and though they say 3 times the charm, I think this 4th time will be better than my 05 Rio CTSC which many thought was pretty ok stuff

Got many plans for the car but here's what it looks like right now. The first things to get done on the car were the full custom clear bra wrap and cool silver window tint! I had the CR lip wrapped individually to avoid any complications.

**Still looking for someone to trade your MINT black carpet for my MINT 09 Red carpet, locals preferred**

So as of 4/27/10 this is how the car looks from outside!

Here's my 09 red interior being pulled and swapped for 08 CR pieces:

My mint ap2v3 wheels are up for sale on s2ki right now for $1100:

The custom stereo for this 09 GPW will take a totally different approach since double din stereo's are already out-dated technology IMO. We are using the Alpine IDA305 as an anchor headunit but will feature an Apple iPad for video molded horizontally into a sleeve in the dash. This will feed Focal K2P power speakers and finally a Alpine PDX-F6 amp. Subs we plan to use a dual JL 8w3 setup in a shotgun configuration.

Speakers:

Plexi radio door is almost done so stay tuned....

thanks for viewing

I guess the CR conversion has nothing to do with racing and weight savings huh?

Why the assumption? What... you can't race your car and enjoy nice music at the same time?

My point was just... even if you have a car that you track, unless it's a fully built track car I'm sure you street it at one point and might like to enjoy the tunes. Plus knowing s4play from the s2ki bay meets I know he streets his car.

I guess my point was, that was a really ignorant assumption and comment. that is all

Wow I just realized I haven't updated this thread in a while!

So the car was stripped to swap in the CR interior and I took the opportunity to Dynamat and lay in a second layer of insulation foam to keep the interior quiet. This was the perfect time to also lay the stereo cables and other wiring I needeD:

Final look with everything swapped:

A set of custom MUZ mats finished the interior nicely keeping the yellow theme:

Some more toys to be installed:

stay tuned for more....

LONG gone you don't see 2009 interiors up for sale everyday, everything was old for top dollar!

I never liked the radio door closed and not being able to see the radio so I decided to customize mine this time around:

Looks good so far... I never thought of mounting the V1 in that location but that is a great idea!

you took the best color combo interior they offered, and ****ed it up.

i wouldn't say you've ruined this car by any means, but i am not a fan of where this is going.

A bit harsh there but thanks for your input!

Sorry I get sick of the playe'd out red/black interior on a GPW car. Actually I can't say that cus I have that exact color combo on my NSX but for all my other rides, my trademark colors are white/yellow accents so this is the path I'm taking my s2000.

Look for a lot more updates when I get back in town.
