Ok I know this has been asked a million timw=es but i cant seem to find the info anywhere. I did a mpfi swap in my 91 civic hb and after a week i got it running. Well I blew the motor so I got a new one. I hooked everything up and I have spark fuel compression but no start. My ecu throwec code 4 (ckp sensor) and 8 (tdc sensor) I have looked and looked and my wiring is right the only difference is im running a pr3 now. is that my problem or whats going on here im lost.

 

check your timing and try using another known working dizzy...not familiar with a pr3 but if it was me i would get a pm6...!!!

 

pr3 is a obdo vtec for a jdm sir b16 and my dizzy is brand new!!! but I will check the timing again. thank you

 

well you said mpfi so i was assuming you had a d-series non-vtec motor and just converted from dpfi to mpfi...!!!

 

I do have a d seires vtec but the ecu is for a b16 but my buddy ran it in his crx so I thought it would work

 

So I re did my timming twice now and still no start. I have spark I have fuel but nothing. only code 8 (tdc sensor) Do I need a new dizzy? whats going on here?

 

So i have checked and triple checked iring spark fuel timming everything. I still dont start and get code 8 should I try a new dizzy? mine is brand new!! could my main relay be the problem it only works sometimes? Im so lost!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

what kind if disributor do you have i though they only make obd1 for a sigle vtec. if it is a obd1 you cant use a obd0, specialy the pr3 thats for a dohc, it just wont run right. pr3 also has a knox sensor is that even hooked up on your motor.

 

uuumm.

you cant use a DOHC ecu for a single cam. and as stated it has a knock sensor.(your motor doesn't have it)

you either need a pm6 (stated before) or pm8.(i have one $)

* what did you swap mpfi? single cam? DOHC?

 

 

well on the last motor I used a pg7 out of a integra ran grat lots of power. And i have a obd1 dizzy. I also know that the pr3 ecu will work because i put it into my buddys crx and it ran like a champ. I have a d15 with a d16z6 head. But ill try the eu first. what obdo ecu should I run?

 

ok changed the ecu to a pm6 nothing took my valve cover off and found a bent valve replaced the head had my motor timmed by a mechanic and still no start. whats going on?????????????? still throwing tdc going to try a known working dizzy tomorrow.

 

SO I figuerd out im not getting injector pulse?????? Re did wiring all soildered still nothing! what do I check next????

ok i cant seem to remember how to use this site. I dont know how to post anymore. So im just going to write here. I just bought a 88 civic with a d16a6 dpfi bone stock. At low rpm it has no power bogs hel** bad. What causes this. I replaced Dizzy cap rotor plug wires oil change. Messed with my dizzy timing cause some one told me to. Nothing works??????????? Help me plz im lost. Thanx
