Hey My rack and pinion thing is leaking p/s fluid and the rubber boots are busted. My buddy has his from 97 gsr. Will the parts swap into my 95 EG(before I start taking things apart)?

when I look at my 95 ls rack and my 93si they seem different the si has an extra port/line that connects to it what do guys who swap the teg racks in civics do with the extra line on the civic

 

Pretty much everything under the car is interchangeable from 3rd gen Tegs and 5th gen Civic's... I did find that the springs are different though...

I wanted to convert to an Integra rack for the quicker LTL steering ratio (Civics are 4.0 LTL and the tegs are 3.5 LTL) However, I have an EK, and would have had to replace the subframe and front sway bar with one from an EG.

 

^^ some where around here the is a thread made by a guy who put the guts of a dc rack into a 96-00.

I now, i didnt post that for you lol. You should be able to put a dc ps rack in no problem.

 

Yea, I saw that thread. That's where I had originally got the idea. I just didn't have time to swap over internals etc etc. If I have any more rock issues, I will be getting an EG subframe/sway bar, and going with a Non-P/S rack since the P/S is removed from the car.... and yes, I do have P/S fluid in the rack still. It is looped with a T fitting and comes up as a "breather"
