This is the third time I have had to replace my ignition switch, last time they just broke in and got spooked some how. I am really getting tired of these low life piece of s h i t s, god help you if I were to catch one of you ****res. These idiots punched my ignition, broke my passenger side window and were dumb enough to try stealing my car unsuccessfully for the FREAKING 4th time. I really need to sell my car, even though I love driving it. The only problem is that it's a salvage title and I won't get anything near what I want. What would you guys suggest buying if I were able to sell it around 9k. Oh yeah, its a 2001 PY ITR with about 130k miles on original B18C, with just bolt ons IHE.
Does a salvage R with 130K on the clock go for $9K?
I'd question how much insurance would pay you when it gets stolen, and base your selling price off that. Because seriously, after 4 attempts, its going to happen.

Does insurance payout for salvaged title cars? I would say this would sell around 7500-8000
Considering that's more than I paid for my clean title 97, I would say no.. unless he finds the right buyer.

Good luck with the situation. Install some motion sensor lights and wire up a siren to it till you get it figured out. Is it your DD? If not, find a friend to let you put it in their garage for the time being...and move to a house with a garage if you have the option. Then you don't have to sell it. Good luck bro!

easy solution... itll save money and wont get stolen. move out of your appartment/house and literally sleep in your R with a Mossberg 590! you shouldnt have any problems then!
on a serious note. sry to hear it man. maybe you could sell it until you get a place with a garage and then you could always buy another one! GL and i hope you can keep her and protect her from theft

TAKE IT BACK! its more than just an Integra! Its an ITR!
Ok i was jk. you do have a point. Owning an ITR in Socal isnt an easy task. id say your best bet is to try and find a storage place. probably your cheapest route. or like i said before you could let go of heR and buy another one when you get a garage!

Apparently the guy has a garage, and for at least one of the attempts the car was in the garage, which they broke into to get to the car. Personal safety at risk over the car? Your call.

This guys reading comprehension is > then all of you guys. I do have a garage, and I always park it in there. I have taken several theft deterrent precautions, that's why I said 4th unsuccessful attempt and not well guys it finally happened. I'm just venting, it really sucks that I have to freaking be so stressed over owning just a damn integra. Last time I totaled my salvaged GSR in an accident the insurance company paid me the going rate they were selling for and I bought it back and refixed it. I then sold it to buy this freaking thief magnet. Just imagine one of your friends asking to park their car at your house b/c their scared it'll get stolen. I know my dad would tear me a new ******* if I allowed it.

Man breaking into a garage is a big pretty deal if its attached to the house. I know in Florida we have the castle law where if somebody breaks into you're "castle" its pretty much shoot first ask questions later. Breaking into a car in a parking lot is a whole different then breaking into someones house to steal car as I dont think you can pull a firearm unless they physically threaten you.
Now is this a community garage or private? In my last apartment we had a underground community garage that you needed two remotes to get into at night. Well I think this actually worked in the thieves favor as they could do their dirty work at 2am with no cars randomly driving by plus probably had some inside help. Hell Id say un underground community garage is almost worse then a street corner.
