5TH GEN Suspension KYB AGX w/ Ground Controls
Hello everyone. I have a question. I just installed my setup of the KYB AGX with GC yesturday but I seem to have a problem. For some reason when I start driving it I hear the the shock or something constantly bounce with a metallic sound on the rear and on my front passenger side. Im guessing I installed the bushings incorrectly making the metal sound grind with each other or something? Car drives awesome but Im just getting annoyed with this sound. If anyone knows if this might be the problem or it might be something else, please let me know. Thanks.. BTW it wasnt easy installing this suspension on this SH, everything is very complicated, now I got the hang of it. Thanks.
PS: I own a 1998 Prelude SH.

Ya I have the same issue when I get on a on ramp(or off ramp) that banks left. I have polyurethane mounts and I noticed that the one on the passenger rear, doesn't sit correctly so that causes a knockin noise. It comes unseated when I lift my car cause the spring doesn't extend as far as my wheels do when its on jacks.
Double check your mounts thats the only thing I can think of. Other wise get used to the sound.

I just revised my setup, I forgot to add the rubber pieces that goes attached on the each strut, lol no wonder, theres metal to metal friction all the time. Im redoing my setup tonight, other than that the car drives awesome. If I was you I'll double check your setup cause there is obviously something wrong and it can be fixed.
Since you didn't follow the directions for 1 step, there might be other steps you missed. So just in case, here's my digitally remastered instructions:

Nice, thanks for the instructional image. Also by the way, I only have 2 bumstops, I did cut it to just keep the upper half, but in this instruction it states that I need the to add bumstops for the rear aswell? On the stock suspension only the front brings that? It gets a little tricky.

Im in love with the set up actually. The car drives and handles stiff, obviously you can adjust the dampness at 4 levels. Changing the height of the ride is pretty easy. Just make sure you tighten up those screws correctly otherweise you will find yourself redoing the whole set up over and over again.
Yeah, I think I'll go with that choice. Camber kits either way are too expensive, alignment for the front is about half the price of the front cambers. For anyone that lives in Miami the best place to get an aligment done is @ Miami Chassis

To be honest to you, the KYB AGX's drive and handle nice. For the price brand new you cant go wrong. I wouldnt mind trying out the KONIs later on.
