AEM CAI Installed, now VAFC is making car lag?

AEM CAI Installed, now VAFC is making car lag?
Just installed an AEM CAI on a B16A with a VAFC. The car was running NO INTAKE when the VAFC was installed, now after the installation of an intake (with a filter) the car seems to lag a little bit. Will resetting the ECU help, or would I have to reprogram the VAFC with the NEW air intake variables? And if so, how would that be done?

NO INTAKE 
IMO the reason its "lagging" is that you had a more direct flow of air b4 W/out intake, but running w/out an intake is pretty dumb....
any time i install any thing that adds at least 5 hp i reste my ecu.....
