Ok I have a 1988 prelude s 3rd gen, My car won start. I wnt to work and left later that day and it started and drove fine. I was about to leave my girlfriends house and it started fine also then after a 5 min it turned off and would not start again, the battery is not dead cause the motor is turning over . like as soon as you turn the key it just turns and dose not start, makes this noise "yennn nnnnn nnnnn nnnnn" what could be wrong please help!!!!

 

any more specifics of what happened or what you've done to troubleshoot?

 

the ignition coil needed to be replace so i replaced it , and still wont start so i found out that the distibutor is leaking oil???

 

/\ /\ /\ That could very well be. If i understand your description right it makes like a tinking noise?? My accord had this problem and i replaced the dizzy and it worked.
