H22 into 98 civic 4dr
I was looking into replacing my engine in my car something faster than my d16y8. I was going to go b16 but i was told that the h22 is nice. I would like to know what all is needed besides the regular swap parts the come with the engine when you buy the complete swap. I read that engine swap guide and noticed it said it is a little more difficult to swap than the b series engines. But then i noticed it was fairly old and that it is probably easier now. I have the dx model and it came with the d16y7 and i spun a rod bearing so me and my old man swapped the engine in 1 day. So we will be doing the swap. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
research research research...you need a mount kit for that chassis to install the h22, wiring needs redone and axles. you need to run the shifter cables also. theres not alot needed to do the swap. just search around, hasport has everything you need to do it right the first time..

I've thought about doing the h22 in my 97 4dr but with more of a twist H2B the obvious issue is that everyone says they are heavy motors but if that isn't a concern then i say giver motors are decently priced cause no one wants them anymore
i second that, if prices drop for just longblocks id have one in my 4dr and mayb 2 spares
Hey when you do the H22 swap make sure that you take out the auto tensioner and put a manual tensioner it promise me you want to do it because that auto tensioner will fail you and then that might lead to timing belt issues. Just get the manual tensioner
