Default Thrust washers too thick?

I purchased a set of STD ACL bearings. I'm having a little trouble with the thrust washers. If I have them both installed, the crank gets stuck and won't sit in place. I remove one and it sits perfectly.

What options do I have here?

I would have searched, but I keep getting a page that says database error. Need help ASAP.

So, after searching a bit, I'm going to try the thrust washers that came in the motor (if I can find them) and see what happens.

If it's still the same, can I machine the washers so they give the right clearance? Or maybe the crank, or the grooves they sit in?

No. Grooves are facing opposite of each other, towards the crank shaft

So, I found the washers that came with the motor. It fits a little better, but it binds, then breaks free with a little force.

It's only the inner (facing 3,2,1) washer that's causing it to bind up. The other slips in like nothing and doesn't cause the crank to bind up.

Possible to sand down the one that's causing the problem, so it'll fit right? Or, is this something best left up the a machine shop?

Need help ASAP.

What? There should be even clearance on both sides. Are you installing the thrust washers before or after you mount the crank?
