Default Occasional Vtec. Help!

Hey i have a B18c1 in my 1996 civic ex. The motor is out of a 1995 gsr. Im using a obd2 to obd1 jumper with the p72. My vtec hits good midway through warming up. Then when it gets to normal operating temperature vtec doesnt kick in and it redlines lower. Its throwing a cel but when i hooked it up to the computer it also reads error. Any help please i wanna enjoy my gsr and hit vtec all the time.

Find out what the cell number is and look it up. It's hard to trouble shoot a car when it is send out cells. What did you hook the computer up to?

Your scanner isnt gonna pull the codes because you're running and obd1 ecu. You have to jump the two prong blue connector in the passenger kick panel and count the number of times the cel light on the dash blinks to read the code. Check that and report back.
