Default Which MAP Sensor?

So I'm pretty sure I have a bad MAP sensor since I keep throwing Code 3 every now and again, it doesn't do it all the time though. Now my car is a 93 del sol si but has the d15b7 in it. Well I went to look up map sensors from autozone and one for the 1.5 is $240 and the one for the 1.6 is $67. So what is the difference?

Now I'm not sure which one this car has since they swapped motors in it. The computer is out of a 1.5 auto del sol that I soldered and made it for a manual, could that be causing issues if it's a 1.6 MAP Sensor?

The difference between those 2 is that 1 is mounted on the firewall (the expensive one), and the other is mounted on the throttle body (the cheaper one). If yours is on the throttle body, then get that one, regardless of what engine you have.

Edit: I believe the earlier 5th gen Civics, and apparently Del Sols, had the firewall mounted MAP sensors, when the car came with the D15B7. While the later ones (possibly '94+) came with the throttle body mounted one.

I was under the impression that there wasn't a difference... I used my d16z6 MAP on my d15b with no problems. And yes, I know those motors are pretty much the same.

Yeah, I'm 100% sure there's no difference. I just compared part numbers for a 2001 CR-V, a 96 Accord LX and a 92 Civic Si and they were the exact same...

As far as being firewall mounted or throttle body mounted, my hatch (92 Si) has it on the throttle body and my girlfriends old hatch (92 DX) had in on the throttle body too.

I say get the cheapest one you can find and if it doesn't work, just return it.

Awesome thanks guys. I think I'll just buy the cheap one and see if that fixes my issue. The one I have now isn't mounted on the throttle body or the firewall but they moved it up by the feul filter.
